Tasso Enzweiler becomes Managing Director of Ketchum Pleon Germany and new Office Head in Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf, June 21, June 2011 - Ketchum Pleon, Germany's leading communication agency, is announcing another top-of-the-line acquisition: Tasso Enzweiler has been appointed Managing Director of Ketchum Pleon and will be assuming management responsibility for the branch in Düsseldorf as of July 1, 2011. He thus succeeds Dirk Popp, who was designated CEO of Ketchum Pleon Germany at the start of the month. In his new management position, Enzweiler is responsible for one of the most successful Ketchum Pleon branches with some 125 communication consultants.

The 47-year-old graduate economist comes from Hering Schuppener Consulting, where he spent five years as Managing Director. He advises customers on all aspects of corporate, financial and political communication, in particular agenda-setting, campaigning, issues management, corporate responsibility, strategic positioning and financial market transactions. "Enzweiler unites the strategic and professional competence for successful long-term development of Ketchum Pleon in a challenging market environment," said Popp.

Enzweiler was managing director of Initiative Neue Soziale Marktwirtschaft, an institution for market economy reform in Germany, and worked as a business and financial journalist in leading functions at the German newspapers Financial Times Deutschland and Welt as well as serving as a reporter for the business magazines Capital and Manager Magazin. He received numerous awards for his work, including the European Excellence Award, the PR Award and the Politik Award.
